Security Centre Issuing Officer

Location : Fremantle & Kwinana, WA

Employment Duration : 12 months with possible extension

Pay Rate : $51.40 per hour flat rate on all hours

Weekly Hours : Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

Security Service Centre Issuing Officer supports with applications and renewals of Access Cards and Maritime Security Identification Cards (MSICs).

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure the integrity of the Security Service Centre (SSC) and MSIC and Access card processes are maintained in line with Department of Home Affairs' requirements
  • Contact customers requesting further information
  • Process applications, data entry, and issue MSICs and Access Cards
  • Communicate effectively with all customers using tact and diplomacy
  • Account for and reconcile all SSC financial transactions
  • Assist with the retention of MSIC records and prepare reports in line with DHA's requirements
  • Liaise with government agencies and bodies

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in administration or customer service roles, preferably with MSIC or maritime experience
  • Highly developed computer skills and accurate data entry
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
  • Experience with database programs is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-disciplined and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work dynamically within a small team
  • Outstanding communication skills and customer focus
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • A valid MSIC is highly advantageous
  • Prioritisation and time management skills
  • Strong customer service skills
