Mader is seeking skilled Underground Heavy Diesel Mechanics to carry out planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on our diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment.

This position involves working on a large fleet of underground mining equipment, including CAT haul trucks, R2900G & R2900XE loaders, ITs, Sandvik drills, Normet agitators, charge vehicles, and ancillary gear.

The role offers an 8/6 FIFO roster—rotating dayshift and nightshift—with direct flights to site from Perth, Brisbane, and Darwin, along with excellent camp facilities.

Skills & Experience:

  • Australian recognized trade certificate
  • 5 years post-trade experience (highly desired)
  • Experience with CAT and Sandvik underground hard rock machinery (highly regarded)
  • Expertise in breakdowns, diagnostics, and component-level repairs
  • Australian Working Rights
  • A strong focus on safety and the ability to work in a team
