Overview

Senior Associate, Competition, Regulatory & Risk — An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join the Competition & Disputes practice of a major firm. You will be part of a collegiate and supportive team, working closely with senior practitioners across a wide spectrum of front-end and back-end competition and consumer law matters.

In this role, you will have the opportunity for day-to-day carriage of matters and direct client contact, while benefiting from close supervision and mentorship from highly experienced lawyers. Our practice advises and represents clients across diverse industries, with a particular focus on:

  • Competition advice and compliance
  • Marketing and advertising clearance
  • Consumer law litigation
  • Regulatory investigations and prosecutions
  • General commercial litigation
  • Class actions

We act for a number of large global and domestic clients, offering exposure to high-profile, complex, and rewarding work.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates with 5–8 years' post-qualification experience who bring strong litigation expertise and a track record of high-quality legal service delivery.

You will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Deliver accurate and commercially-focused legal advice
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support senior lawyers and contribute to team goals
  • Manage workflow and deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Conduct litigation tasks including briefing counsel, drafting pleadings, affidavits, and applications, and liaising with opposing counsel, Courts, and Tribunals
  • Research complex legal issues and provide clear, concise advice
  • Articulate technical arguments with clarity and precision

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
