South Central Truck and Bus is the sole South Australian distributor for the range of MACK Trucks, UD Trucks and Volvo Truck & Bus range of products. South Central Truck and Bus is a division of the CMV family-owned group of companies and are proud to be a privately owned Australian based company, with over 90 years of operation and experience.

We sell new and used trucks and buses and provide service and parts to our customers.
T he Role
We are seeking motivated and reliable light vehicle, mobile plant (or similar) mechanics or 3rd / 4th year apprentices.We offer the opportunity to routinely do technically challenging mechanical repair work. Whilst Service work is important to us, it only accounts for about 20% of our workshop activity.
Over recent years we have employed a number of light vehicle mechanics, who have all transitioned intoworking on trucks, buses and diesel engines. They have becomevalued members of our workshop team and createda new career path for themselves, with further opportunitiesif desired leadingto supervisory positions.
Skills / Experience
- Cert 3 in Light Vehicle, or Mobile Plant Mechanics(or similar).
- Or 3rd or 4th year Apprentice undertaking an apprenticeship in such trades.
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a customer focused team
- Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards
- Desire to learn
- Stable full time permanent employment, supporting the busy road transport industry, working for a long-standing profitable employer, representing market leading brands.
