About the role

The Content Writer and Editor is central to producing clear, engaging and accurate written content for a wide range of audiences, including consumers, media, industry, trade, and corporate stakeholders. Reporting to the Associate Director, Content, you'll develop copy that supports marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, partnerships, international projects, and media communications.

You'll be responsible for writing and editing content across multiple channels - from website articles and media features to marketing emails and corporate documents - ensuring consistency in tone, style and messaging. The role also assists with content planning for consumer eDMs, fact-checking and proof reading, and liaising with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and alignment with organisational strategies. With a strong eye for detail and a focus on quality, you'll help maintain high editorial standards and contribute to ongoing improvements in how we deliver content across the business.

About Destination NSW

Destination NSW is the champion and voice for the visitor economy within the NSW Government. Spearheading a whole-of-government approach to visitor economy growth, Destination NSW influences and shapes the visitor economy through strategic research, policy and thought leadership, stakeholder engagement and consultation, commercial partnerships and investment in visitor experiences, business support, marketing and events. About You

Our ideal candidate is an experienced writer and editor, with a journalistic background, who can confidently manage multiple projects at once and produce high-quality, accurate content to tight deadlines. You have a background in copywriting, editorial writing, or advertising, with strong editing and proofreading skills. You're comfortable working across different formats and audiences, from consumer marketing campaigns and brand content to corporate communications and editorial writing for media.

You bring a sharp eye for detail, a clear writing style, and a collaborative approach to working with others. Whether writing eDM content, writing for the web, or refining corporate materials, you understand how to tailor messaging to suit different purposes while maintaining consistency with brand guidelines.
