The Opportunity

Are you a Rural Generalist GP / VMO looking for a role with structured rotational rosters that balance generous earnings, rewarding medicine, and genuine lifestyle time?

At Ochre Medical Centre Bourke, you'll provide vital GP services alongside VMO duties at the Bourke Multipurpose Service (MPS), located next door. This integrated setup allows seamless movement between clinic and hospital, supported by experienced nurses and collaborative hospital teams.

With flexible rotational rosters, you'll enjoy extended breaks while still making a meaningful impact in rural healthcare.

Additional Benefits
  • Moratorium reduction: MM7 (RA5 scaling) – reduces moratorium to 5–6 years

The Practice & Hospital
  • Ochre Medical Centre Bourke: 9 consulting rooms, emergency bay, modern facilities, strong nursing team

  • Bourke Multipurpose Service (35 beds): inpatient, aged care, ED, pathology, dialysis, mental health, child & family health
  • Visiting specialists: ophthalmology, dermatology, psychiatry with 24/7 VMO support

What We're Looking For
  • Vocationally Registered GP (FRACGP or FACRRM)
