Job Description

Label Makers are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Printing Machinist to join their team in Northmead NSW. The responsibilities of the Printing Machinist include:

• Setting up and operating printing machinery, including offset presses, digital printers, or screen printing equipment.
• Loading and positioning printing plates, adjusting ink supply and paper feed, and preparing the press for each job.
• Monitoring the printing process for quality and efficiency, making necessary adjustments.
• Inspecting printed materials to ensure they meet quality standards and client specifications.
• Performing routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.
• Troubleshooting issues like paper jams or ink smudges during printing.
• Coordinating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
• Keeping detailed records of print jobs, materials used, and issues encountered.
• Staying updated on industry trends and printing technology advancements.

Applicants should adhere to safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications include:

• Certification in printing or a related field.
• Familiarity with digital printing technology and computerized systems.
• Knowledge of ink mixing, color theory, and paper handling.
