Position Summary

The Chef de Cuisine of Events is responsible for all cooking and kitchen activities related to functions and events. This role involves planning menus, designing custom meal options, and overseeing the culinary team. The chef will also oversee the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring that everything meets quality standards and adheres to provided budgets. To excel in this role, the chef must be a strong leader, possess a creative approach to cooking, and deliver exceptional experiences for guests while efficiently handling large quantities of food without compromising on quality.

Role commencing from October 2025.

The Role

• Plan and design menus for various events, ensuring they meet the specific needs and preferences of our guests.
• Create custom meal options that reflect creativity and innovation.
• Manage all kitchen activities during events, overseeing food preparation and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
• Lead and mentor the culinary team, fostering a positive work environment
• Ensure that all food preparation stays within budget while meeting quality expectations.
• Collaborate with the event sales and planning team to ensure seamless execution of culinary services during events.
  
  

Talent Profile

• Tertiary education in Culinary Management
• Proven minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role at luxury hotels/resorts
• Proficient in budgeting and payroll
• Highly organised with excellent people skills
• Exceptional creativity in menu planning and food presentation.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Must have valid work rights in Australia.
