Projects include jetties, wharves, bulk loading facilities, dredging, reclamation, navigation aids, marinas, underwater pipelines, in Australia and internationally.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented junior Naval Architect to join our team at Maritime Constructions in Port Adelaide. This role will work under the guidance of the Naval Architect – assisting with a range of technical tasks such as design calculations, performance analysis, and the creation of reports and documentation.

This full time position plays an important role in our companies strong growth schedule by supporting the design, analysis and evaluation of our marine vessels, structures and systems.

What you will do:

  • Assist in the design and optimisation of vessel structures, hull forms and marine systems, using both traditional and software-assisted methods;
  • Create and analyse 3D models and simulations of marine vessels and systems;
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, reports and design specifications;
  • Support tender preparation and provide technical input for project execution;

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or a related field;
  • 2 years professional experience (internships or relevant academic projects will be considered advantageous);
  • Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks or other naval architecture modelling tools;
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
