Overview

Cook at Nido Early School – be a hands-on teacher, a role model, and an inspiration to young minds. Create an environment in the kitchen that unleashes culinary creativity and promotes lifelong healthy eating habits for children.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding nutrition and education to young children
  • Comply with all relevant legislation, early childhood regulations, policies, procedures, and work guidelines
  • Cook for a large number of children at one time
  • Conduct weekly stock takes and ordering
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Have a strong understanding of allergens and dietary requirements
  • Utilise the Story Park platform to communicate with families about their child\'s development and foster active family participation
Qualifications & Skills
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is required
  • A valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
  • Previous experience as a Cook in a childcare setting is required
  • Driven to provide outstanding nutrition and education to young children
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and policies
