The role:
- Based in an FMCG environment
- Food and Beverage based products
- Roles also available for those who hold valid fork tickets
- Manual handling
- 50% picking and packing
- Working on a production line
- Keeping a clean and tidy work area
- Strong focus on safety
Position Overview: Forklift Operator in packaging/warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring that all products are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Transport pallets of packaged alcohol products to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and organise pallets in designated storage areas, following inventory management procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Pick and pack with RF scanner of individual cases or bottles
- Escalate any issues with machine/conveyor to line leader
- Proven experience as a forklift operator
- Valid forklift licence
- Understanding of safety
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate machinery in a safe and controlled manner.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and perform tasks that may require bending and reaching.
