We're looking for an Associate Design Consultant to join our team. This is an early-career role with real responsibility, backed by mentoring and support. You'll contribute to research, design, and delivery on projects that matter: from policy challenges to digital platforms used by millions.

About the role
  • Support user research and service design activities, from planning to synthesis.
  • Help create design artefacts: journey maps, service blueprints, prototypes, and presentations.
  • Contribute to workshops and co-design sessions with clients and communities.
  • Learn from experienced designers and researchers while growing your own practice.
  • Build your communication and consulting skills in complex, high-stakes environments.
About you

You don't need to tick every box, but you'll bring:

  • Some experience (through study, internships, or early roles) in UX, service design, content design, or related fields.
  • Strong written communication; you explain clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
  • A strong visual sensibility; you care about how ideas and findings are expressed.
  • Curiosity, openness to feedback, and eagerness to learn.
  • Tertiary qualifications; a Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Ability to hold (or obtain) an Australian Government security clearance.
