Pembroke is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Business Subjects Teacher to join our dynamic team in the Senior School on a full-time, ongoing basis. With a focus on Accounting and Legal Studies, you will primarily work with senior students while also contributing to the teaching of aligned subjects across the Middle School. Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Renowned for academic excellence and a broad, inclusive program, Pembroke offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate World School, offering the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP).

About the Role

As a Business Subjects Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Accounting and Legal Studies in the Senior School, while also teaching aligned subjects in the Middle School.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
• Monitoring student progress and providing timely feedback and support.
• Designing assessments that encourage critical and applied thinking.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity across year levels.
• Supporting student wellbeing and contributing to pastoral care programs.
• Participating in school events, co-curricular activities, and faculty initiatives.

About You

You are an enthusiastic educator with a passion for Business education and a proven ability to inspire students in both Senior and Middle School contexts. With experience in Accounting and Legal Studies, you bring energy, adaptability, and a student-centred approach to your teaching.

You will bring:

• Experience teaching Accounting and Legal Studies, ideally at a Senior School level.
• Strong subject knowledge and an ability to make learning relevant and engaging.
• Commitment to fostering critical thinking and ethical understanding in young people.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families.
• A willingness to contribute to the life of the School beyond the classroom.

Required for Employment

• Current Working with Children Check (South Australia)
• Current Plink RRHAN-EC training:
• Masterclass and Fundamentals (including Protective Practices)
• First Aid and CPR
