COMPANY

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of ventilation systems within the HVAC (heating, ventilation & air conditioning sector) that sells to Mechanical Contractors all over Australia. They've been in business for over 30+ years and have a portfolio of over 100+ different products catered to virtually all industry sectors from Multi Residential projects to Public Infrastructure, Hospitals & Aged Care, Hospitality, and Industrial. The products they sell include (but aren't limited to):

  • Air handling units
  • Axial fans
  • Ducting fans
  • Smoke extraction and roof fans
  • Centrifugal fans

OPPORTUNITY

This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong technical background who excels at identifying new business opportunities while managing existing accounts. You will work autonomously, supported by a collaborative team, engaging with mechanical contractors, consultants, and industry stakeholders to provide tailored ventilation solutions. Key duties include:

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities while managing and growing an existing customer base
  • Conduct client meetings and site visits to strengthen relationships and provide expert consultation on ventilation solutions
  • Offer technical product recommendations based on project specifications and industry requirements
  • Prepare, manage, and negotiate competitive quotations, ensuring alignment with pricing and margin objectives
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and seminars to stay informed on market trends and expand professional networks
  • Develop and execute structured call plans, follow up on tenders, and provide insights on sales activities and market opportunities
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures while promoting a safe working environment

CANDIDATE

To be considered for this role, we're seeking candidates that meet the following prerequisites:

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia with a full driver's license
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, account management, or sales, preferably within HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning & refrigeration), fan engineering, or the electrical wholesale industry
  • Possesses technical knowledge of mechanical ventilation systems or a background in mechanical or electrical engineering (ideal but not essential)
