ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality maintenance solutions and outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure safe work practices and compliance with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
2. Maintain, repair, and service a variety of mobile plant equipment in line with Thiess and industry standards.
3. Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and conduct preventative maintenance.
4. Complete documentation and reporting to a high standard.
5. Uphold excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work environment.
6. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the maintenance team.
7. Demonstrate a commitment to risk management and safe work practices.

ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

1. A Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification.
2. Post-trade experience in the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
3. Hands-on experience with general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
4. A current driver's licence (Standard 11 certification is desirable).
5. A proactive attitude toward safety and a commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.
