Globetech Construction Pty Ltd was established in 2010 to provide electrical installation and maintenance capabilities, increasing the overall scope of supply that the Globetech Group could deliver. We are an EEO employer.

Globetech Construction are seeking a qualified Boilermaker/Welder for full-time permanent position, based out of our Unanderra office.

PPE and specialist tools are provided. Work vehicles are available for site work. Hours will predominantly be 7:00am – 3:30pm but will include overtime and weekend work as required to meet our schedules.

Duties

Reporting to the Construction Management Team, working as part of a team, the role includes:

  • Work Safely and participate in all safety initiatives.
  • Lead by example and drive a zero-harm safety culture.
  • Maintain an offsite mechanical workshop.
  • Working in a workshop environment and site-based projects as required.
  • Supporting the construction team with mechanical support installing pipe, cable racking systems and associated Brackets.
  • Manufacture of plinths and equipment stands.

Skills & Experience
  • Boilermaker trade qualification
  • Current Class C Drivers License.
  • Workcover Construction Induction card.
  • Certifications in / willingness to obtain certifications in Confined Spaces, Elevated Work Platforms etc as required.
  • Experience in site installation of Cable racking system, Manufacture of load bearing brackets, Manufacture of Plinths for switchboards
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Equipment maintenance.
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship.
