BESS/Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

Engineering design and technical support for energy storage projects from conception to completion.

• Provide technical expertise during detail engineering of energy storage and solar energy projects in order to meet project objectives, client requirements and comply with current regulations.
• Ensure that the energy storage solution is integrated in the final project design ensuring all technical and performance aspects are considered, with special focus on project schedule and cost-efficiency of the solution.
• Review technical documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings, and system manuals from BESS suppliers.
• Provide and participate in the evaluation of technical proposals to ensure a continuous improvement of the energy storage solutions within the company.
• Provide engineering support for BESS and PV projects and collaborate with the internal departments involved in project phases as development, tendering, execution and operations.
• Ensure that the design conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements,
• Provide technical support and guidance during project development including plant design and system integration.
• Review and provide technical support for the development of engineering deliverables for planning and grid connection application.
• Assist in preparing and delivering technical presentations and proposals to clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technology updates, market developments, and regulatory requirements related to battery energy storage systems

Requirements:

• Electrical / Electronic Engineering Degree.
• Chartered Engineer with RPEng or similar is desirable.
• More thank 2 years' experience.
• Availability to travel for Sites visits and project execution.
• AutoCAD – Intermediate.
• Knowledge of li-ion battery energy storage systems.
