Senior Race Mechanic – Supercars Project

PremiAir Racing, a competitive force in the Australian Supercars Championship, is seeking an experienced Senior Race Mechanic to join our team for an exciting upcoming project within our Supercars program.

This is a senior-level position, suited to someone with demonstrated leadership capability, strong project management skills, and the ability to problem solve under pressure. You'll play a key role in leading preparation and execution across a high-performance motorsport campaign.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee mechanical preparation and maintenance of Supercars to the highest professional standard.
  2. Provide leadership within the workshop and at events, ensuring best practice is followed across all tasks.
  3. Collaborate closely with engineering and operational staff to manage timelines, parts flow, and car builds.
  4. Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, quality, and performance within the team environment.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Trade qualification in a technical field OR a minimum of 5 years motorsport experience at a high level.
  2. Proven leadership experience in a team-based motorsport environment.
  3. Strong project management capability – able to deliver high-pressure outcomes on schedule.
  4. High attention to detail, cleanliness, and pride in work.
  5. Flexible approach to working hours including weekends and travel.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  7. Good communication skills; computer literacy is an advantage.
Additional Requirements:
  1. Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid working visa.
  2. Full driver's licence.
