About the position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Reservations Coordinator to join our hotel operations team. Based at The Executive in New Lambton, this part-time position is crucial for providing an outstanding first impression to our guests before, during, and after their stay. The successful applicant will oversee reservations for all three properties in our portfolio: The Executive, The Gateway, and The Anchorage Hotel & Spa. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and extensive product and system knowledge.
  • Maximizing revenue through upselling and converting inquiries.
  • Anticipating and exceeding guests' needs and expectations.
  • Collaborating with all departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Responding confidently to queries about facilities, services, availability, and rates.
  • Explaining policies regarding guarantees, special rates, and cancellations.
  • Accommodating and documenting special requests.
  • Accurately inputting and accessing data in the reservation system.

This part-time role involves three shifts from Monday to Saturday, with occasional work on public holidays (public holiday rates apply).

Certifications required: RSA. Candidates will undergo due diligence and probity checks, including criminal history, references, and right-to-work verification, facilitated by The Wests Group.

This position is the first point of contact for our guests and requires a guest-centric individual with exceptional customer service skills. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional phone manner, excellent attention to detail, and strong administrative skills.
  • A sense of urgency to handle inquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to upsell hotel and spa services to maximize revenue.
  • Resilience to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
