What You'll Be Doing

As a Master, you will take charge of the vessel and crew, leading by example:

  • Take command of the tug and manage the crew to ensure safe, efficient operations.

  • Coordinate crew attendance, stores provisioning, and maintain operational readiness.

  • Ensure compliance with Svitzer policies, statutory obligations, and safety management systems.

  • Manage crew discipline, supervise tug maintenance, and prepare operational reports.

  • Conduct inductions, mentor crew members, and support skills training and development.

  • Participate in safety training and operational improvement initiatives while adhering to roster and standing orders.
