Position Statement

Workshop trade labour including receiving repairables, strip down for quotation, sourcing parts, carrying out repairs, organising sub-contract services, and preparing for dispatch to ensure customer equipment is returned to service quickly and reliably.

Performance Objectives
  • Increase turnover of workshop projects
  • Streamline workshop operations via tidiness and efficiency
  • Adhere to job tagging and reporting procedures
  • Ability to source parts as required and liaise with customer as required

  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect towards colleagues, leaders, and customers.

Roles & Responsibilities
DEPT 1 – Receiving/despatch of jobs
  • Ensure jobs are logged promptly and accurately
  • Ensure jobs are tested where possible and freight ready before dispatch
DEPT 2 – Strip and quote of jobs
  • Thoroughly strip down jobs for assessment
  • Forward assessments for quoting
  • Arrange parts and subcontractors as required
  • Use engineering knowledge to solve problems and rebuild rotating equipment
  • Use lathes/welders/other workshop equipment to assist in repairs
DEPT 3 – General Duties
  • Keep the workshop tidy
  • Adhere to safety rules
  • Assist others on larger jobs
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Are all jobs completed properly, tested, and on time?
  • Is the workshop tidy and orderly?
  • Are all customers happy with our service?
  • Are all jobs correctly tagged and reported?
Qualification / Certificates / Licenses
  • Forklift
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Connect/Disconnect (desirable)
  • Trade qualification or a minimum of 2-3 years documented experience in mechanical pump fitting is acceptable
Essential Selection Criteria
  • Proven teamwork and adaptability
  • Experience in pump repairs
  • Driver's license
  • Australian work rights are required for this position
Ideal Selection Criteria
  • Strong focus on organisation and workshop housekeeping
  • Good people skills
  • Basic computer skills
