Stepping Out Programs supports female survivors of historic child sexual abuse with connection, community, compassion and clinical expertise. We provide individual counselling and specialist groupwork programs which meets each survivor where they are at. Established in 1986, we are located in Marrickville and operate from a trauma-informed, client-centred, strengths-based and feminist framework.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Stepping Out requires a Program Coordinator to work up to 21 hours per week from August 2025 to December 2025 with earlier start available.There is a possibility of ongoing employment, contingent on funding. Specialist training in CSA will be provided. This role reports to CEO who will provide clinical supervision. Hours are flexible and on-site presence is required.Responsibilities include:

·Assist with delivery of existing and ongoing projects

·Assist in development and delivery of existing and future CSA specialist support programs.

·Develop and maintain relevant administrative processes.

·Manage enquiries that come through info@steppingout.org.au

·Provide assistance in the process of grant submissions and acquittals

·Build on database of support services and stakeholders to support programs and clients.

·Other duties as required.

PAYMENT:

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications plus SG (to maximum Level 5 under the Social, Community, Home, and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award. Casual rates)

No additional employee benefits or entitlements are included in the contract.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

·Relevant Qualifications in social work, psychology, counselling, community services, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the community, health or DFSV sectors.

·Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics and impacts of child sexual abuse

·Demonstrated understanding of the impacts of trauma on women, including mental health and intergenerational effects, within a feminist and trauma-informed framework.

·Experience in program coordination and delivery, including planning, implementing, and evaluating community-based or support programs.

·Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with service providers, government agencies, and community organisations.

·Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to sensitively engage with women with lived experience of trauma.

·Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a dynamic and sensitive service environment

·Commitment to cultural safety, inclusivity, and working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, culturally and linguistically diverse women, LGBTQ+ women, and women with disability.

·Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
