Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Generation

Job Overview

This role involves supporting power generation design projects, leading multiple engineering tasks, and contributing to renewable energy and battery energy storage systems (BESS) initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Support power generation and distribution projects, including renewable energy and BESS.
  • Lead design and engineering tasks, including system protection, motor control, and power system studies.
  • Develop specifications and assist with construction and equipment selection.
  • Mentor junior engineers, develop client relationships, and support marketing activities such as proposals and project planning.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings and site visits.
Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Protection and control design experience, including setting calculations.
  • Experience with instrumentation, controls, and field startup/commissioning.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy projects (PV, BESS, microgrids).
  • Proficiency with electrical design software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, etc.) and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to develop project schematics, specifications, and coordinate project activities.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, lighting, and safety systems.
