Overview

Senior Occupational Therapist - Rotational role at Candino CA. The vacancy is part of ESNEFT, offering opportunities to join our Integrated Therapy Team with a Band 6 Rotation and a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave (12 months). The role includes rotations through multiple areas and requires flexible, 7-day service availability.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high standard OT service in designated clinical areas.
  • Manage a defined complex caseload under the supervision of the Team Leader, using evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan and evaluate OT interventions, ensuring compliance with HCPC, RCOT, CQC and Trust clinical and quality standards.
  • Ensure, as far as is reasonably practical, the safety of the patients in your care.
  • Supervise and assist in the development of junior OTs, non-qualified staff and students on placement.
  • Undertake audit of clinical practice and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Be flexible in working in a 7-day service with extended hours in specific settings.
  • Participate in the Band 6 OT rotation.
Areas of Rotation
  • Community Teams: Reactive Emergency Assessment Community Team (REACT), Blue Bird Lodge - Community Hospital, St Elizabeth Hospice.
  • Ipswich Hospital inpatient wards: Surgery, Medical/Oncology, Emergency Assessment Unit (EAU), Stroke, and Older People's Services.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience in a clinical OT setting and multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and flexible hours, including weekends as part of a 7-day service.
