You will coordinate the project planning, management, and delivery of the Fresh and Secure Trade Alliance (FASTA) program - a $130 million high-profile, national, cross-sector, multi-agency market access research program.

The Opportunity

As a Principal Research Scientist (FASTA), you will:

  1. Coordinate the project planning, management, and delivery of the FASTA program, including milestone and financial monitoring and reporting, development and maintenance of operational plans, and dissemination of outcomes to stakeholders.
  2. Lead the implementation of the FASTA Program Monitoring & Evaluation, Stakeholder Engagement, and Communications plans.
  3. Represent the program at a national level on boards and committees, deputising for the Program Director as needed.
  4. Set the strategic direction for the program as part of the management team.
  5. Foster and maintain professional relationships with university and interstate government collaborators, industry stakeholders, and funding partners.

What Are We Looking For

Essential qualifications include:

  • A Degree in science, applied science, or rural science from a recognized tertiary institution or equivalent academic qualifications in extension.

This role requires leadership competencies, keen attention to detail, excellent time management, and effective problem-solving skills. A positive attitude and a strong team contribution are essential.
