The opportunity

We are offering a unique opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our highly regarded Sydney Litigation team, primarily working within the banking litigation and insolvency group. You will collaborate closely with partners on a variety of matters, including secured recoveries, non-lending loss disputes, and complex insolvency cases.

This role offers a mix of autonomy on certain matters and collaborative work on larger disputes. Our work covers State, Federal, and appellate courts, with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across our national offices. Our team regularly advises and represents voluntary administrators, receivers, liquidators, trustees in bankruptcy, and both secured and unsecured creditors in insolvency and restructuring proceedings.

This position provides the chance to work on top-tier cases and engage with a prominent national client base.

You'll be busy with
  • Working with banks, lenders, and insolvency practitioners
  • Lending loss and non-lending loss matters
  • Handling a range of insolvency issues, both advisory and litigious
To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have
  • 3-5 years PAE
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Strong leadership abilities to mentor junior staff
  • Excellent practice management and attention to detail
