Apprentice Technician - Mechanical Fitter

Join Liebherr Australia as an apprentice Mechanical Fitter to earn while you learn. This 4-year apprenticeship will provide hands-on experience while you undertake a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and receive mentoring from our skilled professionals. Location: Redcliffe, WA facility with free parking

Overview

Start date: 12 January 2026

Responsibilities
  • Inspect plant and equipment for conformity with established standards
  • Request required spare parts
  • Operate workshop equipment including mobile lifting equipment
  • Diagnose faults, repair, maintain and overhaul mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components
  • Diagnose and rectify minor electrical faults
  • Repair damaged or faulty parts by machining and welding or fabricating new parts
  • Lubricate plant and equipment
  • Run adjustments to mechanical equipment
  • Other duties as directed
Qualifications
  • Passion for learning, enthusiasm, attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, problem solver, commitment to safety
  • Driver's License and access to transport to and from the facility by January 2026
  • Completed year 11 before January 2026
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Certificate II or pre-apprenticeship in a relevant field (highly desirable)
