An exciting opportunity exists to join the Occupational Therapy team at Ryde Hospital. We provide a high-quality service to patients in the Acute care and Rehabilitation setting. This position joins a well-established team of Occupational Therapists and Assistants.

Where you'll be working: Occupational Therapy Team at Ryde Hospital including Acute care and Rehabilitation.

Ryde Hospital is undergoing an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community. The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more. Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.

What you'll be doing: To provide a high level of occupational therapy services to patients and clients.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Must hold registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  2. Proven ability to exercise professional judgement commensurate with years of experience and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and inter-agency networks.
  3. Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
  4. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
