What You'll Be Doing:
Based in Broome and reporting to the Managing Editor, this role represents an incredible opportunity for a reporter looking to take the next step in their career. You will oversee four of our most beloved regional mastheads, including the Broome Advertiser and the North West Telegraph, writing and editing stories that keep communities informed and shape the narrative of our State.
Key Responsibilities:

Gathering and writing original news stories for publication in print and online;
Developing positive relationships with key people and organisations;
Breaking news stories and creating engaging content;
Steering the editorial direction of the Northern papers;
Interviewing and photographing subjects confidently and professionally;
Leading a small team of reporters;
Working cohesively as part of our senior regional leadership team;
Representing the Company in a professional and courteous manner.

What You'll Bring:

The ability to work under high pressure
At least two years' experience as a reporter
Strong writing and communication skills
An eye for detail, a head for news and a hunger for the truth
A sense of urgency and focus on deadlines
A valid driver's license
A passion for local news
