About the role

1. Provide quotations for new business, renewals, and endorsements in alignment with the Underwriting Strategy, considering customer needs and circumstances.
2. Complete workflows for new business, renewals, and endorsements to deliver high-quality products and services.
3. Manage relationships across a designated portfolio, underwriting commercial insurances within delegated authority limits.
4. Maximize account retention, review renewal business in coordination with internal stakeholders, and proactively address customer needs with tailored solutions.
5. Stay informed on market trends, ensure adherence to guidelines, and maintain profitability while managing risks and achieving contract certainty targets.

About you

1. Experience in operational, commercial underwriting within a complex, matrixed general insurance environment.
2. Strong planning, prioritization, and task management skills to handle competing resources and demands.
3. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
4. High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to identify inconsistencies in information.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to coach, influence, and support team development.
