Overview

Senior Accountant - Work From Home. Brisbane-based mid-tier firm offering full-time or part-time options. Role is remote, with onboarding/training in SE QLD. Hands-on work with clients and tax compliance responsibilities, with a salary up to $110k + super.

About the Firm

This role joins a mid-tier firm with roots in Brisbane. They have had an excellent first half of the year, bringing on more clients than anticipated. To support growth, they are expanding the team and are seeking a tax compliance professional to work remotely to assist the office-based team. The firm invests in its people, strives for a strong culture, and encourages ideas from all levels to drive the business forward.

About the Role

This role will work with a wide range of private clients, providing a variety of tax compliance services. The role can be performed fully remote, but you will need to be based in SE QLD to attend initial onboarding and training, and to participate in company events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lodge Tax Returns for a range of companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and FBT Returns as well as other compliance work.
  • Review and delegate work to junior staff within the team.
  • Manage clients directly and handle any queries they may have.
  • Work on clients across a wide range of industry sectors, including household name brands.
About You
  • CA or CPA Qualified, or close to qualifying.
  • Business/Commerce degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 3+ Years experience in Tax Accounting.
  • Solid Tax technical knowledge and accounting skills.
  • High level communication skills and able to liaise directly with clients.
  • Ability to navigate accounting software, including Xero and MYOB.
  • Must have experience in Australian Accounting firm(s). Overseas applications will not be accepted.
  • SE QLD based to attend initial onboarding and training, as well as annual company events.
