About the Role

This executive-level role leads the strategic implementation of enterprise-wide ICT transformation programs aimed at modernising service delivery and enhancing operational capability. As Director, Digital Transition & Transformation, you will oversee a multi-year portfolio integrating technology modernisation with organisational reform—redefining digital service design, governance, and delivery.

The role encompasses program delivery, governance, change leadership, and stakeholder engagement, driving outcomes across technology, people, and processes. It presents a unique opportunity to shape the digital future of a large organisation while collaborating with cross-functional leaders to ensure delivery excellence and long-term value.

Contract Details

• Position: Director, Digital Transition & Transformation
• Pay: $1,250-$1,350 / day + super (considering a fixed-term contract with a salary of approximately $290k including super)
• Location: Parramatta & North Sydney Offices | Hybrid Work Environment
• Contract Term: 2 years with potential extension
• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and execute a strategic ICT transformation roadmap
2. Manage portfolios spanning technology, workforce, and process reform
3. Establish new operating and governance models to improve organisational agility and digital maturity
4. Oversee change initiatives, process automation, and service modernisation
5. Promote scalable, repeatable practices across delivery teams
6. Build and lead cross-functional teams including program managers, change leads, and process analysts
7. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align transformation goals
8. Monitor benefits realisation and delivery performance using effective frameworks
9. Represent digital transformation in executive forums and enterprise planning
10. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through data, insights, and innovation

About You (Must have)

• 5–10 years' experience in program or project delivery within complex organisations, currently a program manager or project/program director
• Strategic, future-focused leader with a strong background in organisational transformation, preferably in large, federated, or operationally complex environments
• Experience leading complex ICT or business transformation portfolios at an executive level
• Proven track record in operating model redesign, capability uplift, and governance reform
• Experience delivering digital change in large organisations across multiple business units
• Deep understanding of enterprise ICT, agile/hybrid methodologies, and service design
• Knowledge of transformation frameworks (e.g., SAFe, ITIL, ITSM, MoP, PROSCI)
• Strong stakeholder management skills with influence at executive levels
• Experience with digital tools like Confluence, Jira, or ServiceNow
