Chromatography Data Processing Engineer

Waters Corporation is seeking a Chromatography Data Processing Engineer to join our Milford Global HQ, with a flexible hybrid schedule. You will be part of our QA/QC organization, developing liquid chromatography hardware and software in a collaborative environment.

This role involves working with an agile team on developing next-generation Empower data systems and cloud-based data collaboration software. Responsibilities include implementing chromatogram data processing algorithms such as peak integration, calibration, and quantitation, with a focus on AI/ML features.

Ideal candidates should have strong computational skills, a passion for learning, and experience with numerical methods and AI/ML.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and implement chromatography data processing algorithms in a cloud environment
  • Become a subject matter expert in chromatography data processing
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and define deliverables
  • Communicate project progress and report to leadership
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in physics, mathematics, or bioinformatics
  • 2+ years' experience in scientific algorithm implementation and large data manipulation
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, Python, and understanding legacy C++
  • Experience with numerical methods, regression, statistics, and machine learning
  • Familiarity with AWS, Docker, microservices, and development tools like JIRA, Visual Studio, GitHub

Desirable:

  • Experience with legacy C++ programming
  • Experience processing chromatogram data from UV and MS detectors
  • Experience with Empower or similar CDS software
