The Point of Sale (POS) technical team provides ongoing support and develops new solutions for POS systems.

As the Tech Lead, you will lead a small team of experts to support, maintain, and enhance these systems, continually developing innovative solutions to stay at the forefront of retail technology.

What you'll be doing
  • Providing technical leadership, line management, and mentoring to developers and systems engineers.
  • Ensuring the availability and functionality of critical systems through engineering and support skills.
  • Driving software delivery using modern DevOps practices, focusing on CI/CD and automation testing for efficiency and reliability.
    Developing team skills to build, maintain, and improve applications.
  • Applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.
    Participating in requirements gathering and technical design to contribute to successful development.
  • Promoting innovation and improving the capabilities and efficiency of POS systems.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
  • Experience leading technical teams and supporting engineers, fostering growth and development.
  • Experience in Agile environments with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
    Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and success in driving improvement activities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence product owners and support large-scale device and telephony rollouts.
  • Experience in retail or e-Commerce supporting POS systems is highly advantageous.
