Overview

Start Your Hospitality Career with CommBank – Indigenous Traineeship in Perth. CommBank is seeking expressions of interest for a full-time Hospitality Traineeship with our Client Services team based in Perth. This 12-month traineeship offers hands-on experience while you complete a nationally recognised qualification in Hospitality, including Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification. You'll be supported by our Client Services and Indigenous Careers teams, with the potential for ongoing opportunities within the Commonwealth Bank.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Hospitality Trainee, you'll rotate through key roles within our Client Services team, gaining hands-on experience in:

  • Reception and Concierge: Welcome and register guests; Manage visitor access; Support VIP arrivals with professionalism and care
  • Meeting Room Coordination: Prepare meeting spaces; Set up rooms and arrange catering; Ensure rooms are clean, refreshed, and ready for use
  • Hospitality Support: Assist with internal events and business meetings, including refreshing rooms between bookings; Serving and clearing catering; Taking coffee orders and learning barista skills; Supporting formal dining and cocktail service; Assisting with beverage service and bar setup
