The Hervey Bay RSL is located on the beautiful Fraser Coast. The Club is the premier entertainment venue in the region, experiencing growth in Hervey Bay.

Facilities include: 280 gaming machines, 4 bars, TAB and Keno, billiards and pool tables, a childcare centre, bottleshop, 3 function rooms, a 180-seat restaurant, a 160-seat deck, and a 100-seat cafe.

About the Role...

We are seeking experienced Food and Beverage, Bar, and Gaming Attendants with a bright, outgoing personality and exceptional customer service skills to ensure the smooth operation of the Hervey Bay RSL Club's front-of-house facilities.

Reporting to the floor managers, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Setting up and closing down the bar area
  2. Mixing and serving drinks
  3. Accurately recording transactions on the register
  4. Adhering to RSA & RSG policies
  5. Wastage control
  6. Following safe work procedures
  7. Gaming payouts
  8. General cleaning of work areas
  9. General waiting duties
  10. Customer service

This role has casual hours with a weekly roster. Shifts range from early mornings to late evenings. Must be available days, nights, weekends, public holidays, and split shifts.

About You...

With previous hospitality industry experience, you will possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service, building long-term relationships with members, and maintaining impeccable grooming, presentation, and communication skills.

To be considered, you must have relevant experience, skills, and certificates as required.

Essential Skills & Competencies:

  1. Strong team player, adaptable, and able to follow directions
  2. Exceptional customer service skills
  3. Effective communication at all levels
  4. Experience with till operations and money handling
  5. Previous waiting, barista, Keno, TAB, and gaming machine attendant experience
  6. Pleasant, vibrant personality and ability to work independently

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality
  2. Current RSA and RSG statements of attainments
  3. Eligibility for a National Police Certificate
  4. Current Food Handlers Certificate
