Pharmacy Technician Team Leader Salary: $70k + Super.

About the roles

GEO Healthcare provides primary healthcare to men in Public Prisons across Victoria. The Pharmacy Technician Team Leaders are responsible for coordinating medication management at the GEO Healthcare facility, including inventory management, ordering, and assisting in medication preparation and administration under supervision.

Qualifications and Experience

Team Leaders:

  • Certificate III in Health (Hospital or Community Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent, approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
  • Completion of a dispensary assistant module is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience as a pharmacy technician in hospital or community settings.
Ideal Candidate Attributes

Essential:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams.
  • Proficiency in computer and information technology.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Extensive pharmacy technician experience (hospital or community).
  • Experience in staff coordination (Team Leader role).
Other Requirements
  • Completion of dispensary assistant module (highly regarded).
  • Valid Australian driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a prison setting with direct contact with incarcerated individuals.
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours if needed.
