About the Role

IRT is investing in our leadership capability and we are looking for a Hospitality Team Leader to lead the planning, ordering, preparation and compliance of our site-based food service, laundry and cleaning operations.

This is an exciting Full Time position, based at our IRT Thomas Holt Kirrawee site.

Your work will include:

  1. Leading, mentoring and supervising hospitality employees, including reviewing performance
  2. Responsibility for the planning, ordering and overseeing the preparation of all meals (complying with resident dietary requirements) and light refreshments to ensure residents enjoy a quality food experience
  3. Ensuring food safety documentation is complete and that all work practices meet HACCP requirements. Ensure all corrective actions are completed with specified timeframes
  4. Ensuring deliveries are received and processed in accordance with IRT food safety plan
  5. Monitoring IRT cleaning contractor team members to ensure cleaning standards are met
  6. Ensure the management and delivery of hospitality services meets Aged Care Quality Standards and is in line with IRT's policies and procedures
  7. Participating in the recruitment, selection and orientation of team members in line with IRT's policies and procedures
To Be Successful You Will Have
  1. Certificate IV in Hospitality
  2. Certificate IV in Leadership & Management
  3. Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  4. Proven experience in a similar role
  5. Sound verbal, written, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Demonstrated problem solving, negotiating and organisational skills
  7. Ability to plan and prioritise own work and/or work of others to meet deadlines
  8. Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality and Food Safety Standards
