The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Senior Subcontracts Specialist (Contracts Management Professional) to join our Joint Systems business division to support a range of Australian network and communications programs. The position is based in the Brisbane CBD.

Responsibilities
  • Develop sourcing strategies and approaches to market for network and communications, IT and defence type goods and services
  • Plan, draft, execute and manage a range of contracts types spanning communication and network equipment, IT and defence hardware
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain a relationship with suppliers and drive collaboration to ensure on-time performance and compliance
  • Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning and progress reporting
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain management and program corporate governance policies and procedures
Experience / Qualifications
  • Eight (8) years' or more work experience in contracts management, with prior experience in an engineering or project delivery organization being highly desirable
  • Relevant Bachelor\'s degree in law, commerce or business
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Good working knowledge of contracting responsibilities and their interdependencies with other project activities (e.g., engineering, logistics, finance)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment
