About The Role

  • Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV protection systems / schemes, experience with IEC61850 / GOOSE communications
  • HV Substations secondary systems and primary plant
  • HV/LV Plant/Assets
  • Power Generation Systems
  • Power Transformers
  • Provide leadership, supervision, technical support and training to technicians
  • Preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, protection test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works
About You
  • Must hold "A Grade" (Fitter and Mechanic) Electrical Workers License
  • Engineering Degree or Diploma in Power Systems would be highly regarded
  • Minimum 10 years' experience
  • HV Switching Ticket preferred
  • Experience with IEC61850 and GOOSE messaging through IED Scout viewed favourably
  • Knowledge of appropriate Australian and International Standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule and budget requirements
  • Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience in using the Omicron suite of equipment for secondary system testing
  • Power Station experience viewed favourably
