Salary: Level 1/2, $30.75 - $35.05 per hour (EA (Gov) GA 2023)
This is a nine (9) month fixed term, part-time (0.4 FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2025 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency.
Como Primary School (PS) is an inner suburban school situated near the Swan River. We are an Independent Public School catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. The successful applicant will ideally work collaboratively with teachers to plan and implement engaging, challenging, and purposeful learning programs that are inclusive of all students in their care. The successful applicant will ideally support the teacher to nurture students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
A key aspect of this role will ideally be the ability to effectively cater for the diverse learning needs of students, with a dynamic and highly collaborative approach to meet the needs of all students. Ideally, the successful applicant will have knowledge and experience in social and emotional regulation, and restorative practices would be highly regarded. Under the guidance of the teacher, you will assist in the delivery of planned educational programs, implement individual or small-group programs, and provide valuable feedback to support student learning, including working with students identified as being at educational risk. It is highly desirable that the successful applicant is self-reflective, welcomes feedback, and is committed to ongoing growth of their practice.
