Largely paediatric caseload with 10/15% adult referrals, occasionally required to cover hospital leave; this will be 95% adult caseload.

This is a sole Physiotherapy role working with the MDT - not suitable for juniors.

To start ASAP - late May/early June.

Required

Experienced Physiotherapist required for this publicly funded community service in the Northern Territory. You will join a small team of allied health clinicians and cover the following caseload:

  • The caseload includes adults and paediatrics outpatients in the clinic and outreach to remote communities. The region has a diverse population, including a high migrant and Aboriginal population. The team works on a transdisciplinary model, often with two disciplines working together and traveling together (e.g., PT and OT, SP and PT).
  • The role requires case management skills, experience with adults & paediatrics, and community education.
  • The role involves occasional travel to remote communities in the Big Rivers region by 4WD or light aircraft, with overnight stays during weekdays.
  • You will join a team comprising OTs, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers, Public Health Dietitians, an Allied Health Assistant, and a Team Leader.
  • ASAP start for 3 months, with a possible extension.
  • Return travel reimbursed and free accommodation for locums.

Locum rates of $70-$80 per hour super (depending on experience). Great feedback from current locums
