The Role: Be the Guardian of Quality & the Head of the AcademyAs QC&TrainingManager, you'll be the single point of accountability between design perfection on paper and flawless trucks rolling out the door. You will:
Run daily QC audits at critical hold‑points (pre‑torque, post‑torque, final electrical).
Stop the line when you spot critical defects, then lead a Five‑Whys to kill them at the root.
Update SOPs and checklists on the spot—QR codes refresh instantly in every bay.
Maintain a live metric wall showing first‑pass yield, NCR closures and trainee progress.
Host "Zero‑Defect Stand‑Downs" where the team rallies around a fault, fixes it, and logs the lesson.
Lead Skunkworks Friday rotations with R&D so the shop keeps innovating.
This role is not customer‑facing—but it is critical to customer success, future ISO accreditation, and our reputation for builds that just don't come back.

About YouDetail‑obsessed and confident to challenge the status quo.
5+years in QC, leading‑hand or process‐engineering within automotive, 4×4 or light manufacturing.
CertIII/IV Automotive, Fabrication or Auto‑Electrical and CertIVTAE (or keen to complete within 12months).
You love dashboards, data and deleting legacy steps that add zero value.
Comfortable coaching apprentices and pushing senior techs when the spec says "no."
Familiar with ADR, GVM and 12V accessory standards (nice to have, not deal‑breaker).
Salary Range: A$90k–110k + Super (based on experience).
Performance Bonus: Up to 10% of base tied to first‑pass yield, NCR closure and training KPIs.
Tool & Training Allowances: A$1000 p.a. tools + A$2000 p.a. external courses or conferences.
