Position Title: Lead Barista / Coffee Cart Manager
Location: Hindley Street, Adelaide CBD
Hours: Full-time (weekdays + rotating weekends)
Salary: $70,000-$80,000 + salary packaging dependent on experience
Reports to: Owner / Operations Manager

As our Lead Barista & Coffee Cart Manager, you're the captain of this caffeinated ship. You'll set the tone, train up junior baristas, manage stock (because running out of milk = actual chaos), and keep the cart humming like a well-tuned La Marzocco. Most importantly, you'll bring the fun — because coffee should be serious in taste, but never too serious in vibe.

And yes, we're smack-bang in the heart of Hindley Street, Adelaide CBD — so your audience will range from early-bird office types to bleary-eyed uni students who need caffeine now.

Pull legendary shots – from espresso to filter, you'll brew beans so good they deserve their own travel documentary.

Tell the stories – guide customers through flavour notes, origins, and our social mission without sounding like a coffee snob.

Train the rookies – turn fresh baristas into coffee legends (latte art hearts optional, swans encouraged).

Be the stock boss – order and manage beans, milks, and chocolate powder like the bean wizard you are.

Keep standards high – hygiene, quality, cart vibes, and latte art all on point.

Charm the people – chat with customers, turn strangers into regulars, and make them smile before their caffeine hits.

Fix stuff fast – whether it's a grumpy grinder, a morning rush, or a soy milk explosion, you'll handle it.

A barista with 2+ years' experience (your tamp is strong, your crema is stronger).

Obsessed with specialty coffee and excited to nerd out about origins.

A leader who can coach juniors without terrifying them.

Organised, reliable, and just a little bit bossy in the best way.

Friendly and approachable — you enjoy talking to people (even pre-coffee).
