We're currently seeking a skilled and reliable Small Engine Mechanic to join our team at our Garbutt branch in Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about engines and looking to build a long-term career with an industry leader.

Here's How You'll Be a Part of Our Team

  • Attractive hourly rates + penalty rates on overtime
  • Permanent full-time position
  • Monday to Friday roster, 7am start

Based at the Coates Garbutt branch, you'll be responsible for keeping our fleet of small engine hire equipment in prime condition and ready for the next customer.

Your Typical Day Will Focus On :

Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of small petrol and diesel engines, including but not limited to :

lawn mowers, chainsaws, whipper snippers, pumps, generators, and pressure washers

Performing preventative maintenance and overhaul of equipmentTroubleshooting mechanical faults to minimise operational downtimeMaintaining accurate service and repair recordsEnsuring equipment is safe, compliant, and customer-ready

What You'll Bring to the Role

Relevant trade qualificationsProven experience with small petrol and diesel enginesMechanical aptitude, with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical systemsValid driver's licence (MR or HR preferred)Forklift and EWP tickets (beneficial)Ability to work independently and diagnose issues efficientlyA safety-first mindset and strong attention to detail
