Senior Consultant, Defence – AtkinsRéalis

AtkinsRéalis is a world-class engineering services company focused on engineering a better future. We provide sustainable solutions that connect people, data and technology to transform infrastructure and deliver end-to-end services across the asset life cycle including consulting, advisory, engineering, procurement, project and construction management, operations and maintenance, decommissioning and capital works. This role supports AtkinsRéalis Australia as we expand into the Defence industry, working with a mature global team to grow the Australian business.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of relevant consultancy assignments for clients, including allocation, estimating, tendering, planning, execution and close out.
  • Develop strategies to grow AtkinsRéalis's product and service range in Defence Consulting.
  • Manage relationships with client organisations.
  • Ensure work is performed safely, profitably, on time, within budget and to client satisfaction.
  • Ensure work complies with AtkinsRéalis's procedures, corporate requirements and systems, including the Quality Management System and the Safety Management System.
  • Provide specialist engineering guidance and expertise, including as an interface to global Subject Matter Experts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of the Defence market in Australia and related stakeholders is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in consulting best practice, or the ability to guide, check and approve other outputs.
  • Experience in leading teams of technical SMEs, including input from remote/global SMEs within a project delivery environment.
  • Excellent technical, project management and communication skills for delivering strategic and technical advisory engagements.
  • Desirable: demonstrable experience in nuclear-implicated design and maintenance of infrastructure planning or platform systems development and optioneering.
  • Project management of resources, timelines and budgets.
