About The Role

We are currently seeking a Hotel Services Assistant - Catering to join our team at our Hope Valley Residential Aged Care Facility. In this role, you will play a vital part in enriching the daily lives of our residents by preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Working closely with both the Hotel Services and Care teams, you'll help create a positive and welcoming dining experience by ensuring safe food handling, professional service, and attention to detail. We offer both part-time and casual shifts throughout the week, providing flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals aligned with individual care plans
  • Assist with modified texture and special diet meals
  • Ensure meals are well-presented and contribute to a positive dining experience
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and documentation standards
  • Rotate stock and keep work areas clean and organised
  • Respond to consumer feedback and support continuous improvement
  • Work respectfully and professionally with consumers and team members
  • Perform other duties as required to support catering services

What You'll Bring:
  • Experience in a similar catering, hospitality, or kitchen assistant role (aged care experience highly regarded)
  • Certificate III in Hospitality, Food Services or Health Support (desirable)
  • Ability to deliver respectful, person-centred service aligned with individual dietary needs
  • Competence in using commercial kitchen equipment and following food safety procedures
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
  • Awareness of hygiene, food safety, and infection control practices

Special Conditions:
  • This is an NDIS risk-assessed role – a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is required
  • Candidates will be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment
  • Must follow safe work practices, including manual handling and chemical safety
  • Flexibility to work across a range of shifts and support multiple Lutheran Homes Group sites if required
  • In line with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
