Health and Safety Coordinator

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to work with us at Curragh Mine. Mining Pro have partnered with Coronado Global Resources to operate at the Curragh Mine in Blackwater since early 2022. This is a great opportunity to join the team in a full-time position and have potential long-term career growth.
  • Full-time position
  • 7/7 Roster
  • FIFO and BIBO options available

Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience working in a Health & Safety role preferably within the mining industry
  • Working knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulations 2017 and associated regulations
  • Participate and facilitate in incident investigations and support the tracking and implementation of preventative actions
  • Familiar with Work Cover process and return to work rehabilitation
  • Proven experience with risk management practices and processes
  • Experience in building relationships with regulatory bodies and senior personnel in relation to safety culture and safety systems compliance
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Tertiary qualification or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (Desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE 40116 (Desirable)
  • Valid Australian Driver Licence
