Finance Business Partner

The Role

As Finance Business Partner, you'll step into the financial leadership role for a portfolio of complex, high-profile operations that demand both sharp commercial insight and practical problem-solving. Duties will include but not be limited to:

Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting

Own scenario modelling for biological asset operations (volumes, sales, performance stress-testing)

Mentor a small team of Financial Accountants (two in Brisbane, one offshore) and support admin staff based on site

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles

Act as the key finance partner to site managers and the Executive GM - consolidating performance insights and supporting decision-making

Provide financial, costing and analytics in support of understanding and improving profitability

Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered

Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams, as well as external stakeholders within the company's investments

Conduct feasibility analysis on CAPEX requests

Maintain the ongoing rolling forecast model with up to date and relevant data

Analysis of production costs and variances

Maintenance of standard costing structures across different sites

This role puts you at the crossroads of numbers and operations, translating financial intelligence into real-world impact.

About You

You're a business services first mover or commercially experienced already; resilient and thrive in environments where finance meets the front line. You've cut your teeth in agribusiness, manufacturing, or food production and know how to bring clarity to inventory, costing, and supply chain complexity. You'll bring:

Some Excel modelling skills with the ability to scenario-test and simplify complexity

Strong communication and influencing skills, trusted by both executives and site-based teams

A proven ability to mentor and develop finance staff

Resilience and adaptability to succeed in dynamic, operationally diverse settings

Skills & Experience

Public practise first mover from business services or commercially experienced

Proven ability to deliver commercial insights to senior stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence across teams and executives

Resilience and adaptability to thrive in fast-paced environments

Agri or biological asset management is desirable but not essential
