Role Introduction: Cathay Pacific is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Melbourne Engineering Team to perform maintenance on Cathay Pacific and third party aircraft. This is a permanent, full-time position. This role is pivotal in ensuring a high level of safety, reliability, security and presentation is provided to the company, customers and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities
  • Working on a shift basis, perform aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third party customers under supervision of the Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Assistant Engineer Manager.
  • Monitor third party supplier\'s performance (i.e. technical, ramp services, de-icing, refueling etc.), follow up and rectify any operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance for station ground equipment, vehicles, systems and facilities.
  • Support the contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with local Occupational Health & Safety standards.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Engineering.
  • Experience with wide-body aircraft types, including B787, B777, A350, A330, A380 and B747-8 Freighter aircrafts.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level accuracy is imperative.
  • Sensitive to the requirements of different cultures and personalities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively with limited information and working independently without supervision.
  • Ability to work safely under time pressures.
  • Willing to work appropriate shifts on a 24 hour, seven day a week roster pattern in accordance with operational requirements.
